Each instance of R9 of Formula (I) is independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, heterocyclyl, and ether. Each instance of R28 and R29 of Formula (I) is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl, and aryl. Each instance of R33 of Formula (I) is independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, heterocyclyl, and a bond. 摘要: The present invention discloses a method for producing an article comprising a substrate and a coloured abrasion resistant coating present on at least part of a surface of the substrate, the method comprising providing a substrate comprising a metallic element and/or an alloy of a metallic element, and/or a polymer; providing a first compound comprising a functional group R 1 selected from the group consisting of C 1 -C 20 alkyl, C 1 -C 20 cycloalkyl, C 1 -C 10 aryl and epoxy, and optionally comprises at least one halogen atom, and a second compound comprising a cross-linkable functional group selected from the group consisting of a (meth)acrylate, an ester, a mercapto, a vinyl, and a (meth)acrylated urethane; hydrolysing the first and the second compound; condensing the hydrolysed first and second compound, thereby obtaining a pre-polymer; adding a colorant to the pre-polymer; applying the pre-polymer to at least part of a surface of the substrate; and inducing cross-linking of the cross-linkable functional group by exposing the pre-polymer to one or more of a temperature up to 250 °C, UV radiation or IR radiation, thereby obtaining an article comprising a substrate and a coloured abrasion resistant coating covering at least part of a surface of the substrate; the coloured abrasion resistant coating being a cross-linked inorganic organic hybrid coating comprising at least one functional group R 1 , and the cross-linked inorganic organic hybrid coating being covalently bonded to the substrate.

摘要: Methods of protecting a metallic substrate (12) from corrosion include introducing an aqueous or powder-form composition (30) including at least one corrosion inhibitor (32) into a crevice (20) that traverses one or more layers (14, 16) covering the metallic substrate (12) to deliver the composition (30) via the crevice into contact with a surface (13) of the metallic substrate (12). The corrosion inhibitors present in the composition (30) bond to the surface (13) of the metallic substrate (12), resulting in formation of a film (34) on the surface (13) of the metallic substrate (12). This film (34) protects the surface (13) of the metallic substrate (12) against corrosion.
