Abstract: The invention relates to a tobacco substitute-fluid mixture for use in a water pipe, comprising a fluid (1) that contains water and glycerin and/or 1,2-propanediol, and comprising at least one thickener (2) that is dispersed in the fluid (1). The invention also relates to the use of a tobacco substitute-fluid mixture of said type in a water pipe and a method for producing a tobacco substitute-fluid mixture wherein a fluid (1) is mixed with a thickener (2) so as to form a mixture along with the thickener (2).
