    摘要： A first stage pressure regulator is provided. The regulator includes a valve body having an inlet and an outlet coupled by a pressure chamber. A pressure compensation chamber fluidly communicates with the surrounding water. A valve member is slidably carried by the valve body between an open state in which fluid is permitted to flow between the inlet and outlet and a closed state in which fluid is prevented from flowing between the inlet and outlet. The valve member has an expansion head that is operably acted upon by the surrounding water within the pressure compensation chamber to bias the valve member toward the open state. The regulator includes an annular insulating bushing within the compensation chamber that covers a portion of the valve body defining a portion of the pressure compensation chamber to insulate the valve body from the water within the pressure compensation chamber.

    摘要： A valve assembly and a regulator for use therein are disclosed. The valve assembly includes a valve poppet having a first end having a first face and a second end having a second face. The first face has a surface area smaller than the surface area of the second face.     摘要： A supplied air snorkeling system includes an air tank (10), at least one regulator (22) coupled to the air tank and including a mouthpiece through which air from the tank is provided and a supplied air snorkeling vest. The vest includes a back portion (44), a front portion (46), a head opening and a tank holder (59). The back portion (44) is configured to extend along a snorkeler's back when the vest is worn and includes at least one layer of floatation material (60). The front portion (46) is pivotally coupled to the back portion (44) and includes a main body (73) having at least one layer of floatation material and shoulder extensions (75) extending from the main body (73) to the back portion, The main body (73) is configured to extend laterally across the snorkeler's chest proximate to the snorkeler's clavicle and the across the snorkeler's sternum body. The head opening is formed at a juncture of the back portion (44) and the front portion(46). As a result, the front portion (46) may be pulled from behind the snorkeler's head and over the snorkeler's head as the head opening receives the snorkeler's head. The tank holder (59) is coupled to the back portion (44) and releasably secures the air tank to the back portion, A buoyancy compensator similar to the vest is also disclosed, except that the buoyancy compensator includes inflatable chambers in lieu of the flotation material.
