A method for preventing the elution of lead and/or nickel from a copper alloy piping material such as a valve or a pipe joint into a fluid, which comprises cleaning at least the portion contacting with a fluid of the copper alloy piping material containing lead and/or nickel with a cleaning fluid containing nitric acid and hydrochloric acid as an inhibitor under a condition such that the temperature and time are sufficient for effectively removing lead and/or nickel, and forming a coating film on the surface of the portion contacting with a fluid by the action of the above-mentioned hydrochloric acid, to thereby effectively remove lead and/or nickel from the surface layer of the portion contacting with a fluid. The method allows the prevention of the elution of nickel through the removal of the nickel attached to the inner surface of a piping material with reliability and allows the efficient (with respect to treating temperature, treating time, and the like) treatment for preventing the elution of lead and/or nickel. The method also allows the utilization of products obtained by neutralization of various fluids having been used in treatments for preventing the above-mentioned elution as water for industrial use, which leads to great reduction of the cost for the above treatment and to the provision of an environmentally friendly technology.

A high-pressure trunnion ball valve which is particularly suitable for a high-pressure fluid, suppresses a thrust load to a stem to realize low torque performance while maintaining a valve seat sealing performance even under a high pressure, and can perform opening and closing operations by an approximately constant and stable operation torque and can be made small, and a hydrogen station using the same are provided. The high-pressure trunnion ball valve is composed of a ball 10 rotatably provided in a body 3 having a lid member 2, a seat retainer 11 seal-connected to the ball 10, a spring member 12 applying an elastic force to the seat retainer 11 to a seal side, and a seal member 13 attached to an outer circumferential face of the seat retainer 11. An upper stem 50 and a lower stem 51 having the same diameter are provided on an upper side and a lower side of the ball 10 in an extending manner, respectively, to constitute a ball member 52, shaft-attaching seal mechanisms 20 having the same structure are attached to the upper and lower stems 50 and 51 at symmetrical positions regarding the ball 10 to achieve a balance structure, thereby avoiding thrust loads.

[Problem] To provide a structure and method for fastening a ball seat for a ball valve, which is a ball valve suitable for high-pressure fluid, ensuring hermeticity and slidability by seal by a soft seat, the ball seat being held in a retainer even when ultrahigh-pressure fluid flows to prevent positional misalignment and detachment to keep high sealability when the valve is closed. The polymer actuator comprises a power driver deformed upon receiving electro stimuli and electrodes disposed on the upper and lower surface sides of the power driver in an opposite manner for applying positive and negative electro stimuli to the power driver in a planar fashion. The electrodes have different stimuli application regions to have different electrical field distributions for causing distribution of stress generated in the power driver to be eccentrically located on one of positive and negative sides, thereby bending and deforming the power driver onto a side on which the opposite stimuli application regions do not exist.

A copper-based alloy characterized by being an alloy which has a composition consisting of 58.0-63.0 wt.% copper, 0.5-4.0 wt.% lead, 0.05-0.25 wt.% phosphorous, 0.5-3.0 wt.% tin, 0.05-0.30 wt.% nickel, and the balance consisting of zinc and unavoidable impurities and has homogeneously and finely divided structure so as to have excellent corrosion resistance and hot workability, and by being an alloy which becomes excellent also in resistance to stress corrosion cracking through an appropriate drawing and heat treatment by both of which mechanical properties, e.g., tensile strength, proof stress, and elongation, are improved and the internal stress is sufficiently removed. The copper-based alloy has the hot forgeability inherent in lead-containing brass and has excellent resistance to dezincification corrosion. It is economically advantageous because the material cost is low due to the use of phosphorous for improving corrosion resistance. Furthermore, it becomes excellent also in resistance to stress corrosion cracking through an appropriate drawing and heat treatment.
