The present invention concerns an adjustable oleopneumatic support, particularly for the height adjustment of the seat of office chairs with central columns. The oleopneumatic element includes a hollow cylindrical body (2) with a packing member (12) realizing an upper and a lower cavity (22-23, 11), the respective lower end being rigidly linked to the base of the chair, and a coaxial hollow stem (15), the head of which is rigidly linked to the seat of same chair, said hollow coaxial stem (15) being rigidly connected to a piston (20) which defines inside said upper cavity two chambers, an upper and a lower chamber respectively (22, 23) both containing fluid; said hollow coaxial stem (15) being provided inside with valvular coaxial actuation means (33-43) controlling a passage for a hydraulic fluid (40, 41) the respective outlets being placed above and below the piston (20) respectively; said lower cavity (11) being able to contain compressed gas.

Une colonne de support réglable à amortissement oléopneumatique pour chaise comprend un premier corps cylindrique vide (A) dont la base est rigidement reliée à la base de la chaise et un second corps cylindrique (B) se présentant sous la forme d'une tige supérieure coaxiale et coulissant à l'intérieur du premier corps cylindrique et dont l'extrémité supérieure est fixée sous le siège de la chaise, une barre coaxiale interne mobile verticalement (8) à l'aide d'un levier de commande, sous le siège et qui se prolonge à l'intérieur du premier et du second corps cylindriques. Un premier piston coulissant (5) est monté dans le premier corps et est bloqué extérieurement pour assurer une étanchéité avec le second corps (B) de manière à former deux chambres, respectivement une chambre supérieure et une chambre inférieure (XY) contenant de l'huile et ayant des moyens à soupapes (10) pour permettre ou empêcher le passage d'huile d'une chambre à l'autre afin de rendre possible les variations de hauteur par actionnement de ladite commande sous le siège. Ce dispositif se caractérise en ce que deux second moyens de pistons flottants sont agencés entre ledit premier corps et ledit second corps, l'un au-dessus (6) et l'autre en-dessous (4) lesdits premiers moyens de pistons formant ainsi un couple de chambres à huile se déplaçant ensemble à l'intérieur du premier corps cylindrique (A).
