In alternate embodiments, trim cap members (104) can be provided to cover the frame members, and a universal supporting bracket system (100) can be utilized to attach the cladding system to various poles or columns.

摘要： Free standing and wall mounted poster and sign displays are disclosed. Each of these devices comprise a sign frame (22) with similar top and bottom curved extrusions (30, 32), similar side frame extrusion members (34, 36), and a backing member (38). The upper and lower frame extrusion members include elongated slots (64, 65) which are used to hold the display indicia in place by the "lift and fall" principle. The side frame members contain spring biased cover members (86) which clamp the sign materials in place against the backing member. A clear protective covering member (72, 74) is hooked in place in the slot in the upper frame extrusion member. Unique corner connecting members (102, 104) are used to secure and connect together the frame members around the backing member forming the sign devices. The corner connecting members comprise cap members which cover the open ends of the upper and lower frame extrusion members, as well as insert members which fit within the open ends of the side frame extrusion members. The free standing sign frame also includes a base assembly comprising a pair of leg members (26, 27) and spring members (24, 25). The sign frame is attached to the top of the spring members.

The spring means (20) may include two of the above springs having a common torsion axis and being torsionally preloaded in opposite circumferential directions relative to said axis. The annular elastomeric member may consist of two concentric layers having different torsional spring rates and between which is bonded a rigid intermediate sleeve.

The device has a support structure comprising support brackets (34), top and bottom edge frame members (42), and corner members (60, 70) which hold in place a front translucent sheet material (52) or panel member. The front member (52) can be flexible and stretched in place, or rigid panels. Metal halide lights (100) are used to illuminate the front member. A flat or curved light dispersion member (130) is positioned between the lights (100) and the translucent material (52) to uniformly distribute and disperse the light on the front member (52). Access members (150) in the apparatus allow convenient changes of the lights.
