Stud 22a for fixing reflector holding member 11 has a throughhole extending at the center thereof, so that cooling air fed from high static pressure blower 27 can be sent to cooling holes 18 through tube 28 and the throughhole of stud 22a, thus efficiently cooling the upper bulb area, lower bulb area, and cathode of light source lamp 1 in a concentrative manner with a small amount of air. Thus, the resulting lamp unit, provided by the present invention, can reduce the amount of air required for cooling the lamp, and can use a high static pressure and small fan.

    摘要: An image display system is capable of controlling an image displayed by a projector using a single image signal cable connected to a personal computer. Control information is combined as images with image information that is transmitted from the personal computer through the image signal cable to the projector. The control information combined with the image information is represented by changing shapes, brightness levels, and displayed positions in a predetermined area of the displayed image. The projector's CPU reads the changing shapes, brightness levels, and displayed positions from an image memory in the projector, and instructs an image output unit to control the displayed image depending on the read data. A display unit of the projector projects the controlled image onto a projection surface.

    摘要: The projection lens shifting mechanism is provided for projecting a light beam from a light source onto a screen through a projection lens to make an enlarged projection of an image rendered on a display device. The mechanism serves for locating the projected picture at a desired position on the screen by shifting the projection lens with respect to the display surface of the display device. The mechanism includes a base plate, a moveable plate and a holding plate. The base plate is secured to the housing of the projection lens shifting mechanism and has a guide surface parallel to the display surface of the display device. The moveable plate rigidly holds the projection lens and can move in a prescribed direction parallel to the display surface of the display device guided by the guide surface of the base plate when in a moveable state. The holding plate is linked to the moveable plate through elastic members and, together with the moveable plate, constitutes an elastic clamp structure that holds the base plate on both sides and elastically clamps the base plate by means of the elastic force of the elastic members. When an external force works against the elastic force to release this clamp, the holding plate assumes a moveable state and can move integrally with the moveable plate in a direction parallel to the guide surface of the base plate.
