摘要： The invention relates to a device for placing a label disk having a first center opening onto a compact disk having a second center opening. The invention also relates to a method of using said method and to a method for producing said device. The inventive device comprises a positioning element (5) that is provided with at least one centering element (7). The outer dimensions of the centering element (7) correspond to that of the first center opening of the label disk. The center of the positioning element further has a centering member (8) whose outer diameter is adapted to the second center opening of the compact disk. The centering member (8) projects from the centering element (7). A base part (9) is provided with an outer ring that has a disk-shaped top on which the label disk can be arranged. The top is further provided with a center opening in which the positioning element is movably arranged at a right angle to the top and projects from the top in the rest position and is sunk in the center opening in a labeling position. In order to facilitate return into the rest position, the outer ring is provided with at least one flexible tongue in a first adapted recess of the outer ring. The root of the flexible tongue is fastened in the base portion of the outer ring while the tip of the tongue carries a flexible support bar. Said flexible support bar extends radially inwards from the tip of the tongue into a second adapted recess of the top up to the positioning element.

摘要： According to the present invention, six die-cut CD-ROM labels are provided on a sheet in a vertical pattern with labels offset from a scored or perforated centerline of the other three. Each set of three is spaced from the outer edges of the sheet and by folding the sheet in half and removing a corner tab an adhesive edge of one of the labels is exposed which can be applied to a disk manually held on a printed outline of the disk on the back of the sheet, obviating the need for use of any applicator centering device, or holder for the disk, and/or label.

The invention also relates to a method of using said method and to a method for producing said device. The inventive device comprises a positioning element (5) that is provided with at least one centering element (7). The outer dimensions of the centering element (7) correspond to that of the first center opening of the label disk. The center of the positioning element further has a centering member (8) whose outer diameter is adapted to the second center opening of the compact disk. The centering member (8) projects from the centering element (7). A base part (9) is provided with an outer ring that has a disk-shaped top on which the label disk can be arranged. The top is further provided with a center opening in which the positioning element is movably arranged at a right angle to the top and projects from the top in the rest position and is sunk in the center opening in a labeling position. In order to facilitate return into the rest position, the outer ring is provided with at least one flexible tongue in a first adapted recess of the outer ring. The root of the flexible tongue is fastened in the base portion of the outer ring while the tip of the tongue carries a flexible support bar. Said flexible support bar extends radially inwards from the tip of the tongue into a second adapted recess of the top up to the positioning element.

The spindle and pad can be formed as an integral unit to reduce the components to two by the addition of a stabilizing plate ultrasonically welded to the pad at one end, and at its other end, the pad can be ultrasonically welded to the spindle.

摘要： In accordance with the invention, a fixture (10) is provided to receive a label (L) to be applied to a CD disc (13,15). The fixture includes a base (12) having a well (14) of a dimension approximately the shape of the label and CD disc. The label, after printing indicia thereon, is placed adhesive side up in the well of the fixture. Since the well also approximates the shape of the CD disc, the disc may be placed in the well first, within the bounds of the well of the fixture, with its unwritten side facing up. The disc or label is then overlaid on the other manually in the well, and pressed in place, to adhere the label to the disc. A pair of oppositely disposed cutouts are provided in the fixture to enable the composite card and adhered label to be removed from the fixture by inserting the fingers beneath the laminate and lifting it up from the fixture. The sidewalls (16, 18) of the well are rotatable and opposed edges are straight and arcuate so as to present when oriented to the interior of the well, circular or truncated shape to the interior of the well to accommodate different shaped discs.
