The fingers alternate with free openings for exit of the material. The anti-spin mechanism does not interfere with the crushing apparatus as do clutch-based, anti-spin mechanisms. The anti-spin mechanism relies on mechanical prohibition of rotation of the crusher head (108) with respect to the bowl (124) due to finger-on-finger engagement. The fingers can be mounted on mantles (62), bowl liners (66), bowls (72), housing, or crushing heads (63) to achieve anti-spin functions.
