    摘要： The invention provides system and method wherein the system collects user activity data including call log information from network equipment, handset and other context specific user activity data including time of call and location information to enable various applications to use the information collected and build social network. In accordance with the method of the invention, the user activity data collected is used to form individual social networks. The networks are formed based on clusters identified by mining the data collected. Furthermore, various applications are provided access to the clustered data to assist in individual social networking. The system of the invention comprises of an application server comprising a centralized data center providing social networking services through a plurality of networks, the networks in-turn connecting a plurality of users through their individual network terminal stations to the application server.

    摘要： A method and a system for providing commercial information (CI) messages as a ring-back tone (RBT) to a caller in an inter-operator telecommunication system are provided. In the inter-operator telecommunication system, the caller and the callee are registered to different telecommunication service providers. The second telecommunication service provider sends a request to the first telecommunication service provider to provide a CI id associated with a caller profile of the caller. The request is routed through a global broker. An RBT player of the second telecommunication service provider plays the Cl message corresponding to the CI id as ring-back tone to the caller.

A host multimedia stream is received from a host multimedia client (204). A first element indicative of presence of a multimedia conferencing session is transmitted to participating multimedia clients by the host multimedia client (206). Subsequently, individual multimedia streams are received from participating multimedia clients (208). The host multimedia stream is processed and transmitted to the participating clients (210). A second element indicative of presence of the multimedia conferencing session is transmitted by the participating clients to the host multimedia client and to each other (216). The individual multimedia streams are processed separately and transmitted to the host multimedia client and to the participating multimedia clients (220). The processed individual multimedia streams and host multimedia stream are received and displayed (222) based on at least one of a predefined layout pattern and a layout pattern dynamically modified during the multiparty conferencing session.

    摘要： A system and method for compensating subscribers for permitting playing of advertisements as ring back tones and direct activation of advertised services is provided. The method includes receiving by a telecommunication service provider a call initiated by a caller. The method further includes establishing status of at least one of caller and callee by checking home location register of the telecommunication service provider. Establishing status includes determining RBT subscription status of caller and callee. Depending on the RBT subscription status of caller and callee, the call is transferred to a tone player within RBT system of at least one of caller and callee. A compensation system then selects a media file to be played to caller based on RBT to Advertisement ratios of subscribers. The selected media file may be an RBT file or an advertisement message, which is then played to the caller.
