The invention relates to an electro-mechanical programmer (10) comprising: a manual adjustment programming dial (11); a synchronous drive motor (16) for rotating the dial, which is equipped with a terminal pinion (17); and mechanical means (20, 23, 30, 33) for transmitting the movement of the terminal pinion to the dial, which enable the angular position of the dial to be adjusted by rotating the dial in the same direction as that in which the dial is driven by the motor. In order to facilitate dial time setting, the aforementioned transmission means comprise first (20, 23) and second (30, 33) successive friction gear assemblies which are designed to allow the angular position of the dial (11) to be adjusted by rotating the dial in the opposite direction to that in which the dial is driven by the motor (16).

The invention relates to an electro-mechanical programmer (8) comprising a rotary display dial (10) and segments (30) for determining at least one programming range which is supported by the dial such that it can move between two different control positions, each of said segments passing from one control position to the other by tilting around an axis (Z-Z) that is orthoradial in relation to the axis of rotation (X-X) of the dial. Moreover, each segment (30) consists of a body (31) with an essentially-C-shaped cross-section, comprising (i) an inner face (31A) which is directed towards the dial (10) and which extends around the tilting axis (Z-Z) of the segment and (ii) another surface (32) which, in the control position, covers an associated zone (13) of the dial and which, in the other control position, uncovers and exposes at least part of said zone (13) to the exterior. The displaying of one or more uncovered portions of the zone provides the user with immediately-comprehensible information relating to the programming ranges.
