The invention concerns a rotary drum (1), in which the hygienic status of separated, pourable cow manure solids (3) is modified by aerobic heating such that the solids can be re-used as bedding in cowsheds. The aim of the invention is that of achieving a high charge level of the drum (1), which lies horizontally for incorporation in an insulated container (2), with a filling level of 60-70 % being achieved. According to the invention, the loaded solid (3) is kept in a chamber (4,8) and is passed to the drum (1) only when there is no solid surrounding the chamber (4,8). An important element is a flap (4,9) of the chamber (4,8), which opens and closes in this area only. If there is solid material on the outside of the flap, then the flap is prevented from opening (4,9).

The device according to the invention serves for classifying or concentrating liquids laden with fibres or solids by means of screening or filtration. For this purpose, a fine cylindrical screen is arranged in a vertical position in a housing containing an axially cylindrical vibrator that is somewhat smaller than the fine screen so as to produce an annular gap between the screen and the vibrator. In the vibrator there is a vibration motor with unbalance weights, which generates circular horizontal oscillations. The liquid to be treated is introduced into the annular gap, primarily from above, and the concentrated liquid is removed at the bottom. The cleaned liquid is drawn off between the screen and the wall of the housing. The feature of the invention is that the vibrator is mounted on at least three rubber elements, which primarily allow the vibrator to perform a circular horizontal movement. However, by allowing the vibrator to move away vertically, these rubber elements also compensate for vertical forces occurring, which may be caused by unsymmetrical loads on the screen.
