摘要： A vehicle tail lift (10) comprises a platform (11), a telescopic arm (12) and a support pillar (13). The telescopic arm is pivotably mounted to the support pillar by a pivot (16) and is movable using a lever (17) between stowed and deployed positions. The platform is pivotably mounted to the telescopic arm by a special pivotal mountaing (14) and is movable between stored and deployed positions. The pivotal mounting allows the platform to be readily detached from the arm when the platform is in its stowed position, but prevents its detachment when the platform is in its deployed position.

The stop bar has arms (12) extending therefrom and the arms are pivotally mounted on the platform (10) to allow the stop bar to move in an arc about a pivot axis. Rotation of the levers (14) moves the stop bar between a first position in which the stop bar lies at or below the level of the platform and a second position in which the stop bar lies above the level of the platform.
