摘要： A heated fuel filter assembly (5), particularly for use with engines operating using plant oil as a fuel. A filter housing (42) is connected to a filter head (39). A cylindrical filter screen (43) within the housing, separates the interior of the housing into internal (44) and external (45) portions. An inlet fuel conduit (40) communicates with the internal portion, and an outlet fuel conduit communicates with the external portion. An elongate heating member (46) projects axially into the internal portion so as to heat fuel within the filter assembly. The heating member may be a hollow member through which engine coolant circulates.

摘要： A dual fuel system for a compression ignition internal combustion engine which is arranged to operate using a plant based fuel such as vegetate e oil. The system comprises a first fuel tank for a plant oil, a second fuel tank for a diesel fuel, an injector pump feeding at least one injector, a fuel selection valve, a heat exchanger for heating the plant oil after leaving the fuel tank and before being pumped to the injector and a re-circulating loop for feeding return fuel from the injector pump back to the injector pump. The fuel selection valve is arranged to select the fuel supplied into the recirculation loop on the basis of the viscosity or temperature of the fuel in the loop.
