Abstract:
Techniques, systems, and devices are disclosed for converting an alcohol and water mixture to hydrogen-rich gas inside a gasoline engine to power the gasoline engine vehicle. In one aspect of the disclosed technology, an electronic control module installed on a gasoline engine vehicle for controlling the gasoline engine vehicle to run on an alcohol and water mixture as fuel is disclosure. This electronic control module includes a processor, a memory, and an interface coupled to the ECU of the gasoline engine vehicle to receive various sensor signals from the ECU. The electronic control module also includes interconnects coupled to various modules of the gasoline engine vehicle to control a process of running the vehicle on the alcohol and water mixture stored in the gasoline tank of the vehicle. The said process includes converting catalyzed alcohol and water mixture to a hydrogen-rich gas inside a cylinder of the gasoline engine.
Abstract:
A hybrid fuel and methods of making the same are disclosed. A process for making a hybrid fuel includes the steps of combining a biofuel emulsion blend and a liquid fuel product to form a hybrid fuel. Optionally, the hybrid fuel can be combined with water in a water-in-oil process and include oxygenate additives and additive packages. A hybrid fuel includes blends of biofuel emulsions and liquid fuel products, including light gas diesel. Optionally, the hybrid fuel can include water, oxygenate additives, and other additive packages.

Abstract:
To set such that a determining portion determines whether fuel oil supplied to a diesel engine is first fuel oil (Bunker A, for example) or second fuel oil (Bunker C, for example), and appropriate water-emulsion fuel or fuel can be supplied to the diesel engine based on the result of the determination by the determining portion. A fuel supply apparatus (11) with a fuel switching function can switch a supply passage switching portion (20) such that one of first fuel oil and second fuel oil is supplied to a diesel engine (12), the first fuel oil and second fuel oil being used to produce water-emulsion fuel containing fuel oil and water or being used alone. A controller (28) includes the determining portion configured to determine whether the fuel oil supplied to the diesel engine (12) is the first fuel oil or the second fuel oil. Based on the result of the determination by the determining portion, the appropriate water-emulsion fuel or fuel can be supplied to the diesel engine (12).
Abstract:
A fuel control system is provided. The fuel control system includes an electronic control system coupled to a pair of control valves for blending pipeline fuel with waste fuel at a blend ratio for controlling fuel flow to an internal combustion engine. The fuel control system can estimate energy content of the fuel mixture to compensate the blend ratio. The fuel control system can use engine operational parameters to compensate the blend ratio. Typically, the system will use the operational parameter of output power or exhaust emissions to compensate the blend ratio. Further, the fuel control system can prioritize variation from the blend ratio or variation from a desired power output when the blend ratio cannot generate the desired power output. The fuel control system can also be equipped with engine speed/load controls, misfire, ignition timing and knock detection capabilities.
Abstract:
In a multi-fuel system for diesel engines, natural gas is mixed with diesel fuel and conditioned in a mixing chamber before being injected into the mixing chamber of the engine. Filtered blow-by gas may also be introduced into the combustion chamber. A computerized controller is used to determine and control the proportion of diesel fuel, natural gas fuel, the mixing and conditioning of these fuels, and the supply of filtered blow-by gas.
