The invention further relates to a method for collecting environmentally harmful liquids, in particular oil, which drip off towers (5), pillars or the like, in particular wind turbines, wherein all the liquids dripping off the tower (5), that is to say oil and condensation, are collected by the collecting apparatus (1) and directed to collecting means (3) and the oil is bound in the collecting means (3), whereas the condensation can drip off out of the collecting apparatus (1), through openings (32), beneath the collecting means (3).
