摘要： The invention relates to an input device into which characters from a character set can be input, especially one-handedly, and a method using said input device. The inventive device comprises a display screen, at least one scrolling device and at least one key. At least one part of the character set is displayed on the screen in lines and columns. The method is characterised in that a character is inputted by means of the scrolling device which is used to preselect at least one part of a column, and by means of the at least one key which is used to select a character from a line of the preselected column.
