    摘要： There is provided a linear cartridge-type motorized dental syringe in which a plunger rod is arranged in alignment with a drive shaft of a motor with a reduction gear (geared motor) serving as a prime mover and advance drive of the plunger rod is attained by a simple mechanism. The linear cartridge-type motorized dental syringe comprising an externally threaded plunger rod (32) located in alignment with an axis of a drive shaft of the geared motor, the plunger rod being movable longitudinally of the casing but not rotatable relative to the casing, a rotating cylindrical body (40) adapted to be rotated by the drive shaft, a nut (57) including a pair of opposite arm-like nut halves (56) having internal threads adapted to engage external threads on the plunger rod, a locking ring (70) located for rotation around a longitudinal axis of the plunger rod and for longitudinal movement between a rearward position wherein the locking ring forces the internal threads on the arm-like nut halves to engage the external threads on the plunger rod, and a forward position wherein the locking ring releases the mutual engagement of the internal and external threads, pusher pins (75) adapted to be pushed by the cartridge holder (22) for moving the locking ring (70) from the forward position to the rearward position when the cartridge holder is inserted in and coupled to cylindrical space (24), and a coil spring (80) for pushing the locking ring (70) back to the forward position when the cartridge holder is not in the cylindrical space, the rotation of the rotating cylinder body (40) resulting in rotative motion of the nut (57) around the plunger rod (32) to linearly move forward the plunger rod (32).

    摘要： Disclosed are a method and apparatus for controlling the injection rate of an anesthetic solution in a cartridge type motor-driven injection syringe for dental use, particularly beginning with the "Low" rate injection at the outset, and switching to the "Medium" or "High" injection rate at an arbitrarily selected time in the course of injection.
    The speed of revolution of the electric motor is changed among the low, medium and high speed, and a two-step operable type of switch is used as a starter switch 13. The first depression of the starter switch makes the electric motor 9 start at the low speed, thereby making the plunger rubber 5 initially move at the "Low Speed" in the cartridge 6 via the plunger rod 12, and the second depression of the switch makes the electric motor 9 run at the low, medium or high speed, and accordingly the plunger rod moves at the selected "Low Speed", "Medium Speed" or "High Speed".

    摘要： A dry gel composition containing 40 wt. % or less of an orally administrable medicine, 3 wt. % or more of a gelling agent and 5 wt. % or less of a binder and giving a porridgy aqueous gel composition when 1 part by weight thereof is mixed with 2 to 15 parts by weight of water at 40 DEG C or below. An example of usable gelling agents is 50 wt. % or more of gelatinized starch, while examples of the orally administrable medicine include cinnarizine. When mixed with a given amount of water, the composition gives a homogeneous aqueous gel composition having a viscosity of around 100 to 500 cP and preferably a thixotropy. The aqueous gel composition can be readily swallowed even by the aged having a reduced swallowing function without being aspirated into the trachea, so that it is useful for the pharmacotherapy of the aged. In addition, it can be prepared in a short time in an extremely simplified manner just before the use.

The motorized syringe includes a cartridge holder (4) capable of being used in common for both of a 1.0 ml cartridge (3b) and a 1.8 ml cartridge (3a), the push rod (6) having a 1.0 ml cartridge- setting position and a 1.8 ml cartridge-setting position drawn back from the 1.0 ml cartridge-setting position so that the movement of the push rod can end at a common terminal position for both 1.0 ml and 1. 8 ml cartridges, a bottomed sleeve (22) adapted to receive the rear end portion of the push rod therein when the push rod is pushed back from the common terminal position, and to be not interfered with by the rear end face of the push rod when it is in the 1.0 ml cartridge-setting position, the sleeve being pushed rearward with the rear end face of the push rod when the push rod is pushed back to the 1.8 ml cartridge-setting position, and a return spring (23) for moving forward the sleeve together with push rod upon its forward movement.
