    摘要: Process for manufacturing seamless precision steel tubes with improved isotropic toughness at low temperature for hydraulic cylinders comprising the following steps; -(i) providing a steel having a composition comprising 0.06 -0,15% by weight of carbon, 0.30 - 2.5% by weight of Mn, and 0.10 - 0.60% by weight of Si, -(ii) hot-rolling the said steel at a temperature higher than Ac3 such as to obtain a seamless steel tube, -(iii) heating the said seamless steel tube at a temperature in the range between Ac1 and Ac3, -(iv) quenching the said heated seamless steel tube, such as to establish a dual (or multi-) phase microstructure in the steel employed, composed of ferrite and martensite and optionally bainite and/or retained austenite, -(v) cold drawing the quenched seamless steel tube such as to provide a seamless precision steel tube of the desired dimensions, -(vi) subjecting the so-obtained seamless precision steel tube to stress relieving treatment to improve its isotropic toughness, and optionally -(vii) straightening the so-obtained seamless precision steel tube with improved toughness.

    摘要: A measurement method for thread parameters for a threaded object (3), by means of a measurement device (1) defining a spatial reference system (X, Y, Z) incorporating an optical sensor (5) to retrieve the shape of the threaded object, and defining a spatial reference system (X', Y', Z'), the measurement device (1) having a computer to assemble a first matrix that describes the quadratic form representing the threaded object in the spatial reference system (X, Y, Z), thus providing the relationship between the two spatial reference systems. The method comprises the steps of:
    a) predefining at least one trajectory of the at least one optical sensor (5) on the threaded object, along which measurement points are selected such that the matrix evaluated on these values satisfies the condition that it has maximum rank,
    b) performing a first scanning operation by the at least one optical sensor (5) along said at least one trajectory and retrieving data of the predefined measurement points,
    c) feeding these data to the first matrix and calculating an axes transformation matrix relating the first spatial reference system with the second spatial reference system for defining the relative position of the threaded object with respect to the second spatial reference system,
    d) using the axes transformation matrix to convert all data retrieved from the second spatial reference system to the first spatial reference system.

    摘要: A low carbon alloy steel tube and a method of manufacturing the same, especially for a stored gas inflator pressure vessel, in which the steel tube consists essentially of, by weight: about 0.06% to about 0.18% carbon, about 0.3% to about 1.5% manganese, about 0.05% to about 0.5% silicon, up to about 0.015% sulfur, up to about 0.025% phosphorous, and at least one of the following elements: up to about 0.30% vanadium, up to about 0.10% aluminum, up to about 0.06% niobium, up to about 1% chromium, up to about 0.70 % nickel, up to about 0.70 % molybdenum, up to about 0.35 % copper, up to about 0.15% residual elements, and the balance iron and incidental impurities. After a high heating rate of about 100 °C. per second; rapidly and fully quenching the steel tubing in a water-based quenching solution at a cooling rate of about 100 °C. per second. The steel has a tensile strength of at least about 145 ksi and as high as 220 ksi and exhibits ductile behavior at temperatures as low as -100 °C.
