The marker is a peptide which is an exposed part of a cellular enzyme. This peptide is as well particularly useful as an aid in production of highly selective reactive molecules. The peptide is a part of thymidine kinase TK1 and has the sequence Lys-Pro-Gly-Glu-Ala-Val-Ala-Ala-Arg-Lys-Leu-Phe-Ala-Pro-Gln.
