摘要： Some embodiments include a platform for performing a plurality of assays. The platform may include a support structure that further includes a plurality of channels in selective fluid flow communication with at least one flow cell. The platform may also include a plurality of sensors operatively associated with the flow cell so that the sensors are configured to detect a reaction during the performance of the plurality of assays. The channels are in selective fluid flow communication with an air source so that these channels can guide a volume of air into the flow cell during the performance of the plurality of assays to wash the sensors between successive applications of solutions required to develop the assay complex which is subsequently detected.

摘要： Provided herein is a system, including a platform for performing at least one assay protocol. The platform may include a flow cell that can include at least one sensor. The platform may also include a reader that can be in communication with the sensor. Moreover, the sensor may maintain communication with the reader for the entirety of the performance of the assay protocols to transmit data regarding physical events within the flow cell or an electrochemical state of any substance contained within the flow cell.

摘要： Some embodiments provide a method for performing a free thyroxin assay. The method may include providing a flow cell that may include a plurality of sensors at least partially coated with a plurality of antibodies that bind to free thyroxin. The method may further provide introducing a sample into the flow cell so that the sample contacts the sensors, and incubating the sample therein for a time. As a result, at least a portion of any free thyroxin within the sample can bind at least some of the antibodies. In addition, the method may include introducing a wash agent into the flow cell to clear the flow cell of any substantial amount of the sample.
