摘要： The characters (1) are attached on the surface (7) by means of the adhesive or the double-sided adhesive tape , which is firstly applied on the back sides of the characters (1) in the shape of a respective character (1). A temporary cover layer (4) is removed from the adhesive or the double-sided adhesive tape in the place of the attachment and the characters (1) are then attached on the surface (7). The attachment is simplified by means of a template (2) with gaps. The dimensions and shapes of the gaps within the template (2) correspond to those of the characters (1) in a desired arrangement. The template (2) is attached on the surface (7). By means of the gaps within the template (2) the respective characters (1) are attached on the surface (7). The method and the tool speed up the attaching of the characters (1) and rule out the errors and inaccuracies of the attachments. The tool and the method can be used for attaching the metal characters (1) on the exterior surface (7) of the stone tombs, memorials, monuments, and so on, or for attaching the texts and signs in both the exterior and the interior.
