    摘要: An analog signal stacking method and apparatus permits transmission of an analog signals of given spectrum width over a narrow band communication circuit (13) having bandwidth approximately equal to the spectrum width of one analog signal by compressing the spectrum of each signal by a factor of 1/n and frequency offsetting the compressed signals to occupy contiguous frequency bands within the bandwidth of the circuit. Received signals are processed to remove the frequency offset and expand the baseband signals to restore each analog signal to its normal spectrum. A dial through circuit (Figs. 6A and 6B) permits application of the stacking feature to place two conventional dialed calls on a single line (73, 74) of the telephone network using a circuit for processing both dial and voice signals.

    摘要: Procédé et dispositif d'empilage de signaux analogiques, permettant la transmission de n signaux analogiques d'une largeur de spectre donnée au travers d'un circuit de communications à bande étroite (13), la largeur de bande étant approximativement égale à la largeur du spectre d'un signal analogique, en comprimant le spectre de chaque signal d'un facteur de 1/n et en décalant en fréquence les signaux comprimés pour qu'ils occupent des bandes de fréquence contiguës dans la largeur de bande du circuit. Les signaux reçus sont traités pour éliminer le décalage de fréquence et dilater les signaux de bande de base pour que chaque signal analogique retrove son spectre normal. Un circuit de composition d'appels (fig. 6A et 6B) permet d'appliquer ce procédé d'empilage pour placer deux appels conventionnels sur une seule ligne (73, 74) du réseau téléphonique en utilisant un circuit pouvant traiter aussi bien les signaux d'appel que les signaux vocaux.
