In order to prevent scrapping spool sleeves as a result of dirt accumulation and/or damage of the identification in a spool sleeve having several interconnected layers, especially formed by strips, whose outermost layer carried until then an optical identification (bar code), the invention provides that the inner layer is fitted with a notch (8) in which a correspondingly formed transponder (2, 4, 6) is embedded whose mass is at least approximately the same as that of the piece of strip that has been cut out so that no unbalance between the sleeve and the transponder will arise.

The invention relates to a planting pot that substantially consists of coconut nonwovens comprising a fiber binder. The known air-impermeable, deep-drawn drylaid nonwovens that contain latex as an impregnating binder usually have a poor rotting behavior and the plants received by them root poorly. To avoid these problems, the inventive planting pot contains an air-permeable dried wetlaid nonwoven as the material, the holes of which allow for an unimpeded rooting of the plant and which is biodegradable without problems. The preferred nonwoven is a wetlaid nonwoven to which polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fibers are added as a binder, said fibers are melted during the drying of the wetlaid nonwoven and are mainly shrunk onto glue spots of intersecting coconut fibers.

The invention relates to a planting pot with a conical outer surface, bottom and shaped rim on the pot opening. The aim of the invention is to provide a method for producing such a planting pot from a blank that can be produced without material loss. To this end, a conical blank produced from a single rectangular unwound section is transversely cut from a larger, web-shaped flat structure that has two parallel straight web edges (10, 12). The blank has two identical arched separating edges (14, 16), and the outer edge of the two straight longitudinal edges (12) of the ribbon section is glued. The invention further relates to a planting pot with an inverted dome-shaped bottom (22) from the tapered end of the blank shaped using heat and pressure, and with a flange-type edge (24) from the widening end of the blank shaped using heat and pressure.

The invention concerns a planting-out pot made of environmentally acceptable materials which will rot or are non-toxic. An example of a prior art pot of this kind is German utility model No. 82 12 729 comprising a bitumen-paper stamping held in the shape of a pot by wire staples. The disadvantages of this design include the large amount of waste sheet produced by its manufacture and the fact that it is not easy for the plant roots to pass through the pot walls and bottom. The aims of the invention include avoiding the production of waste, and even the use of waste in the manufacture of the pots, as well as making it easier for the plant roots to pass through the pot walls and bottom. The invention achieves these aims by calling for the pot bottom to continuously overlap the pot walls, which consist of a separate piece with an end overlap zone of the same kind, the overlap zones being bonded with adhesive. The pot is made of fibrous material. The advantages of the invention are the small amount of waste left from the sheet from which the pot bottom and wall blanks are stamped, as well as the greater ease with which roots can pass through the fibrous material.
