The primary function of the optional handler is to make plates available on demand to the imaging engine. A first registration member is provided inside the bottom container for a first side of the stack of plates to be referenced against. A second registration member is provided inside the bottom container for a second side of the stack of plates perpendicular to the first side to be referenced against. A first adjustable stop member is positioned opposed to said first registration member for securing the stack of plates with the first side referenced against the first registration member.
