    摘要: A method and apparatus for detecting and matching the recorded speed of a previously recorded tape. An algorithm changes the commanded speed to a servo system to a speed that is centered between the speed at which the sector header was written and the sector data was written. In particular, the measured synchronization portion of the sector header is initially integrated with respect to time. The measured synchronization portion of the sector data is then integrated with respect to time. An optimum speed is computed based on the difference in the speeds at which they were recorded. The commanded speed to the servo system is then changed as a result of the previous step.

    摘要: A playback signal played back from a magnetic storage medium is supplied to a pulse width correction block, which converts it into a signal having a predetermined time interval. The signal is transmitted through a first group of shift registers, from which outputs are further transmitted via a correction block through a second group of shift registers. The parallel data outputted from the first group of the shift registers are supplied to a detection block. The detection block provides a signal to a correction block when detecting a signal pattern which causes a peak shift. Within the correction block, the signal is replaced by a signal for which the time interval is corrected in order to correct the peak shift. The corrected signal is supplied to a separator so that a playback digital signal is generated.
