    摘要: A magnetic drum separator (10) for separating components having different magnetic properties out of an aggregate material employs a drum (12) rotatably driven on a longitudinal axis ('R'). The drum (12) has a cylindrical shell sidewall (26) to have an open interior (32) wherein a magnetic array (60) is disposed. The magnetic array (60) is formed by a plurality of longitudinally extending and circumferentially spaced ferromagnetic bars (92). A first magnet (100) is disposed between each pair of circumjacent bars (92), and circumjacent first magnets (100) have similar magnetic poles facing the bar located therebetween. Second magnets (120) extend longitudinally and a second magnet (120) is located radially inwardly of each of a majority of the bars (92). Circumjacent second magnets (120) have oppositely oriented polarities, all in the radial direction, and each second magnet (120) has a similar pole facing the respective bar as those of the first magnets (100). The array (60) is supported by an arcuate support plate (72) and a pair of brackets (64, 70) secured to a rigid shaft (36) about which the drum (12) rotates. The array (60) has an arcuate active surface (62) in closely-spaced relation concentric to the drum sidewall (26), and this arcuate surface (62) preferably extends between 45° and 120° of arc.

    摘要: A material separator (10) for separating non-magnetic components from magnetic components in a material is provided. The material separator (10) has a support frame (32), a magnetic roller (40), and idler roller (60) and a conveyor belt (80). The idler roller (60) is rotatably mounted on an inclined slideway (90) so that tension on the conveyor belt (80) is maintained by the weight of the idler axle (62) and idler roller (60). The inclined slideways (90) may be provided by pivot arms (70, 72) and adjusting elements (100, 102, 104, 130, 132, 134) are provided to adjust the angles of inclination (Υ) to the horizontal, thereby allowing adjustability of the belt (80) tension. Detectors (142) monitor the tracking path of the belt (80) so that an adjustment to the angle of inclination (Υ) of one of the slideways automatically corrects deviations from the tracking path. The magnetic separator (10) is preferably a modular unit mountable in framework (12) having an upstream feed assembly (14, 214) and a downstream collection assembly (16, 216), either in single or multi-stage separator apparatus.

The separator employs a drum (20) rotatably journaled in a support frame (36). A magnetic assembly (60) is disposed within the drum and is comprised of a plurality of longitudinally extending magnetic arrays (61-63) each rotatably journaled on an array axis radially spaced from the axis of the drum (20). A drive system (100) is provided to rotate each of the magnetic arrays (61-63) about its respective array axis to induce an oscillating magnetic field and to rotate the drum (20) about the axis of the drum (20).

    摘要: A support roller (22) and a magnetic separator (10) incorporating the same utilizes a plurality of roller segments (42) which are pivotally mounted to an axle member (24) such that the roller segments (42) are radially spaced from the axle member (24) and extend in longitudinal parallel relation thereto. The opposite ends (44, 46) of the roller segments (42) can move toward and away from axle member (24). A first pair (61, 62) of roller segments (42) are interconnected by a linkage (64) that causes the first ends (44) of the pair to move correspondingly and, due to the pivot mount (52), the second ends (46) move correspondingly to one another in a direction opposite the movement of the first ends (44). Preferably, at least four equiangularly spaced roller segments (42) are employed and a pair of linkages (64) interconnect each pair of opposed roller segments (42). Several different linkage assemblies (64) are disclosed. Where the support roller (22) is incorporated in a magnetic separator (10), a support frame (18) rotatably supports a magnetic roller (12) and the support roller (22). A thin conveyor belt (20) extends around the rollers to receive particulate material for separation, and a drive rotates the two rollers.

Le séparateur de matière (10) comporte un cadre de support (32), un rouleau magnétique (40), un rouleau libre (60) et une bande transporteuse (80). Le rouleau libre (60) est monté rotatif sur une surface de glissement inclinée (90) de sorte que la tension qui s'exerce sur la bande transporteuse (80) est maintenue par le poids de l'axe du rouleau libre (62) et du rouleau libre (60). Les surfaces de glissement inclinées (90) peuvent être constituées par des bras pivotants (70, 72) et des éléments de réglage (100, 102, 104, 130, 132, 134) servent à régler les angles d'inclinaison () par rapport à l'horizontale, ce qui permet de régler la tension de la bande (80). Des détecteurs (142) surveillent la trajectoire de défilement de la bande (80) afin qu'un réglage de l'angle d'inclinaison () d'une des surfaces de glissement corrige automatiquement les déviations de la trajectoire de défilement. Le séparateur magnétique (10) est de préférence une unité modulaire pouvant être montée sur le cadre de support (12); ledit séparateur, mono-étage ou multiétage comporte un ensemble d'alimentation (14, 214) situé en amont et un ensemble de récupération (16, 216) situé en aval.
