摘要： Multi-layer sheet assemblies and methods for their use are disclosed, utilizing an indicia receivable label for media storage devices and associated inserts. These multi-layer sheet assemblies are provided with overall dimensions that facilitate easy feeding into and through printers, where desired indicia may be disposed onto the provided media storage label and associated insert. Software may be provided which contains templates to assist in the proper placement of indicia on the multi-layer sheet assemblies, including the label and the front and back of the insert. The assemblies provided may be configured for labeling various media storage devices, including CDs. A single multi-layer sheet assembly (9) may include both a CD label (10) and an insert (8) for a CD jewel case, and both the label and the insert may be printed all in one pass through the printer (40).

摘要： A label applicator (100) including a support surface having a central area (116) and curving downwardly from the central area (116). A post assembly (120) extends up from the central area (116) such that a label (130) having a label through-hole (144) can be positioned in a support position generally on the support surface with the post assembly (120) extending up through the label through-hole (144) and an adhesive face of the label (130) facing up. Thereby an article having an article through-hole can be positioned over the post assembly (120) so that a flat surface of the article can be pressed and guided against the adhesive face of the positioned label. The curved surface flattens out as the article is pressed down, allowing the label (130) to be smoothly applied to the article. Pins (170, 172) extending up adjacent to the support surface engage in notches (180, 184) on the label (130) and help hold the label (130) in place.
