The broadband CPE is coupled to a broadband communication network management device via a primary communication path. The alternate communications device is further coupled to the broadband communication network management device via an alternate communication path. The alternate communications device is to provide diagnostic and configuration information about a broadband connection to the broadband communication network management device via the alternate communication path when the broadband CPE is unable to provide such via the broadband connection. The broadband communication network management device is to perform analysis on this information. The alternate communications device is to receive from the broadband communication network management device, via the alternate communication path, new diagnostic information and new configuration information about the broadband connection responsive to the broadband communication network management device performing the analysis.

    摘要: The transmit power level of a transceiver coupled to a digital subscriber line (DSL) line is reduced from a first transmit power level sufficient for the transceiver to continuously transmit data on the DSL line at a first bit rate to a second transmit power level below the first transmit power level sufficient for the transceiver to continuously transmit data on the DSL line at a second bit rate that is lower than the first bit rate. The reduction in transmit power is limited so that the change does not induce time-varying crosstalk sufficient to destabilize a nearby DSL line. While the transmit power level of the transceiver is reduced to the second transmit power level, the transceiver is suspended from transmitting data on the DSL line for repeated periods of time. Suspending the data transmission is controlled to avoid further time-varying crosstalk sufficient to destabilize the nearby DSL line.

    摘要: In accordance with embodiments disclosed herein, there are provided apparatus, systems and methods for implementing distributed wireless data sharing and control systems. Methodologies may include, for example, means for performing operations at a first wireless node having at least a processor and a memory therein, in which such operations include collecting measurements of a wireless environment at the first wireless node; determining a current configuration of the first wireless node; receiving state information from a second wireless node, in which the received state information describes a configuration of the second wireless node and further describes collected measurements of a wireless environment at the second wireless node; with the operations further including analyzing the collected measurements of the wireless environment at the first wireless node and also analyzing the state information received from the second wireless node, the analysis being used to determine one or more modifications to the current configuration of the first wireless node; adopting a modified configuration at the first wireless node by updating the current configuration of the first wireless node with the determined one or more modifications; and communicating first node state information to the second wireless node, in which the first node state information describes the modified configuration adopted by the first wireless node and the collected measurements of the wireless environment at the first wireless node.
