The present invention concerns a method for the open-mould production of a thermoplastic composite material with fibre reinforcement and a matrix that is a semi-crystalline polyamide with a Tg of at least 80°C and a Tf less than or equal to 280 °C and greater than 200 °C, prepared in-situ by bulk polymerisation in the molten state by polycondensation: of a reactive precursor composition comprising, according to A, at least one first polyamide prepolymer A1 carrying two identical functions X or Y and at least one second polyamide prepolymer A2 carrying two identical functions X or Y, different from those of A1 and coreactive with respect to those of A1; or of a precursor composition comprising, according to B, at least one prepolymer carrying (on the same chain) two different functions X and Y coreactive with each other; or of a precursor composition according to a mixture of (A + B), in which X and Y are respectively carboxy or amino and vice versa, wherin said method comprises the successive steps of i) preparing the reactive mixture A: (A1 + A2) or the reactive mixture (A + B): (A1 + A2 + B) or the melting of said prepolymer according to B, ii) continuously coating said fibres by deposition-impregnation with said reactive precursor composition, iii) in-situ bulk polymerisation by polycondensation in the molten state in an open heated die, iv) cooling said material, and said final polyamide of said matrix and said prepolymers A1, A2 or B having the same specific composition in terms of amide units. The invention relates to a method for a composite material, comprising an assembly of one or more reinforcement fibres, impregnated with at least one thermoplastic polymer having a glass transition temperature (T g ) no higher than 75 °C and a melting temperature from 150 °C to less than 250 °C or a T g higher than 75 °C, said method including: i) a step of bulk melt impregnating said assembly with at least one thermoplastic polymer, which is the product of an addition polymerization reaction of a reactive precursor composition including: a) at least one prepolymer P(X)n of said thermoplastic polymer including a hydrocarbon molecular chain P and having at the ends thereof n identical reactive X functions, wherein X is a reactive function among: OH, NH 2 or COOH, wherein n ranges from 1 to 3; b) at least one chain extender, represented by Y-A-Y, including two identical Y functions that are reactive with at least one of said X functions of said prepolymer a), wherein A is a single covalent bond linking the two Y functions or a non-polymer hydrocarbon biradical; ii) a step of cooling and obtaining a fibrous prepreg; iii) a step of implementing said composite material and final shaping of same. The invention also relates to the use of said thermoplastic polymer as a matrix for impregnating said assembly of fibres enabling the implementation of a fibrous prepreg or composite parts.
