Preferably, the compositions have a cosmetically, dermatologically, or pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle. In addition to the enzyme inhibitory plant material and acceptable vehicle, compositions may also have at least one active ingredient known to produce skin irritation. There is also a method for treatment of skin irritation symptoms or conditions involving topically applying compositions of the invention. Also disclosed are compositions and methods for topical administration of compositions to the skin that improve the aesthetic appearance of skin and/or provide an antiaging benefit to the skin.
