The invention relates to structurally viscous, curable, aqueous powder dispersions that are substantially or entirely devoid of organic solvents, and that contain dimensionally stable particles (A), said particles having an average particle size, measured by laser diffraction, of D (v, 0.5) = 1 to 10 µm. The dimensionally stable particles (A) contain as a binder 10 to 100 % by weight of at least one (meth)acrylate copolymer (A1) having a hydroxyl number of 40 to 250 mg KOH/g and an acid number of 5 to 100 mg KOH/g. Said binder is produced by multi-step copolymerization of (a11) hydroxyl-containing acrylate and/or methacrylate monomers and (a12) acid groups-containing, olefinically saturated monomers in an organic solvent, whereby (1) in a step, the entire portion or the major portion of the monomers (a11) is optionally (co)polymerized with a lower portion of the monomers (a12) before (2) in an additional step, the entire portion or the major portion of the monomers (a12) is optionally (co)polymerized with the remainder of the monomers (a11).
