Abstract: A method of preparing a retort packaging article includes: providing a sealable packaging; applying an ink to an outer surface of the sealable packaging; and overlaying a substantially transparent lamination layer over the ink and enveloping at least a portion of the sealable packaging. The ink contains a styrene-acrylic resin, which has anhydride functionality, and a polyurethane resin.
