Abstract:
Disclosed is the use of the compounds (A) corresponding to formula (1) wherein R1 represents C6-C24alkyl; R2 is hydrogen; or d-C4alkyl; R3 is a radical of formula (1 a) *-(CH2)n1-R4 R4 is a heterocyclic or aromatic radical comprising 4 to 6 carbon atoms which can contain from 1 to 3 nitrogen and/or oxygen atoms; n-1 is a number from 0 to 5; or R2 and R3 together with the linking nitrogen atom form a heterocyclic radical comprising 4 to 6 carbon atoms which can contain one or more oxygen or nitrogen atoms; as solubilizing agent for organic UV filters (B) selected from (B1 ) benzophenone derivatives, (B2) hydroxyphenyl triazine derivatives; and (B3) trianilino-s-triazine derivatives.
Abstract:
Use of benzotriazole derivatives of formula (1), wherein R1 is C1-C30alkyl; C1C5alkoxy; C1-C5alkoxycarbonyl; C5-C7cycloalkyl; C6-C10aryl; aralkyl; -SO3M; a radical of formula (1a) R3 is hydrogen; C1C5alkyl; C1C5alkoxy; halogen, preferably Cl; or hydroxy; R4 and R5 are each independently of the other hydrogen; or d-C5alkyl; m is 1 or 2; n is O or 1 ; if m = 1 , R2 is hydrogen; unsubstituted or phenyl-substituted d-C1-C12alkyl; or C6-C10aryl; if m = 2, R2 is the direct bond; or -(CH2)P-; and p is 1 to 3; for enhancing the photostability of cosmetic or dermatologic compositons comprising at least one further organic UV absorber.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the use of the compounds (A) corresponding to formula (1) wherein R1 is hydrogen; a linear or branched C1-C30 aliphatic hydrocarbon residue comprising 0, 1, 2 or 3 double bonds; R2 independently from each other are hydrogen; methyl; ethyl; -OH; -COOR4; -CH2-OH; and -CH2-COOR4; R4 is hydrogen; or a linear or branched C1-C30 aliphatic hydrocarbon residue comprising 0, 1, 2 or 3 double bonds; R3 independently from each other are hydrogen; methyl; ethyl; -OH; -COOR5; -CH2-OH; and -CH2-COOR5; R5 is hydrogen; or a linear or branched C1-C30 aliphatic hydrocarbon residue comprising 0, 1, 2 or 3 double bonds; n is at least 0,1 on average; m1 and m2 independently from each other are 0; or 1; with the proviso, that at least one of the radicals R1, R4 or R5 represent a linear or branched C1-C30 aliphatic hydrocarbon residue comprising 0, 1, 2 or 3 double bonds, as solubilizing agent for organic UV filters (B) selected from (B1) benzophenone derivatives; (B2) hydroxyphenyl triazine derivatives; and (B3) trianilino-s-triazine derivatives.
Abstract:
Disclosed is the use of benzylidene malonates of formula (1), wherein R 1 is methyl; ethyl; propyl; or n-butyl; if R 1 is methyl, then R is tert. butyl; formula (A); a radical of formula (1a); or a radical of formula (1b); wherein R 2 and R 3 , independently from each other are hydrogen; or methyl; R 4 is methyl; ethyl; or n-propyl; R 5 and R 6 independently from each other are hydrogen; or C 1 -C 3 alkyl; if R 1 is ethyl; propyl; or n-butyl, then R is isopropyl; for the protection of human and animal hair and skin against UV radiation.
