Abstract: The invention relates to thermoplastic moulding compositions comprising: A) 10 to 89% by weight of a polyethylene terephthalate or polybutylene terephthalate, B) 10 to 60% by weight of a fibrous reinforcing agent with a fibre length of 2 to 24 mm, C) 1 to 20% by weight of at least one polyester based on aliphatic and aromatic dicarboxylic acids, and an aliphatic dihydroxyl compound, D) 0 to 40% by weight of further additives, where the sum of components A) to D) adds up to 100%. The invention further relates to the use of the thermoplastic moulding compositions for production of longitudinal fibre-reinforced pellets and to the pellets obtainable in this way. The invention additionally relates to the use of such pellets for production of any kind of mouldings with notched impact resistance, and to the mouldings obtainable in this way.
