Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing isocyanates by reacting primary amines with phosgene in a reactor and a production plant for carrying out said method. The discharged reaction material is provided in the form of a suspension containing the isocyanate that is to be produced as a liquid and carbamyl chlorides as a solid substance, and said suspension is reprocessed in a layer-type evaporator.
