摘要: A device for use in a hand-held hot-melt glue-gun to inhibit drool of melted composition from the outlet thereof when the gun is not is use comprises resilient means located within the melt and arranged to urge the feed of solid composition fed to the melt outwardly of the melt when feeding pressure is not applied. The device comprises a melt body 110 having a melt chamber element 116 slideably mounted within a passage 112 in the melt body 110, resilient means provided by a coil spring 126 and means 145 for heating the melt body. When in use solid composition in melt body 116 urged by a feeding force in a direction towards the melt body 110 is melted in the melt chamber 116 and is dispensed in molten condition from the outlet 20. When the feeding force is released after use the spring 126 exerts sufficient force in a reverse direction to the direction of the feeding force to move the melt chamber element 116 outwardly of the melt body, which relieves the pressure within the melt body and thereby substantially prevents further composition from drooling from the outlet.
