摘要： If a top cover (5) has been opened, a link lever (34) is moved backward in conjunction with the motion of the top cover (5), so that a release lever (51) is rotated clockwise as seen from the left side about a level shaft (50). Also, a release gear (49) and a release shaft (48) are rotated about 180° counterclockwise as seen from the left side, via a lever gear (52). Accordingly, a head supporting member (37) is rotated downward, resisting an urging force of a pressing spring (36), so that a thermal head (32) is separated from a platen roller (35) and entry of a roll sheet (3A) becomes possible through an insertion port (26).

摘要： A first support shaft 20 retaining a tape transfer roller 39 at an appropriate position is provided on an upper side of a frame 13. A second support shaft 22 is provided on the frame 13 on the opposite side of the first support shaft 20, with a gear 217 provided on an outer circumference of the second support shaft 22. Pressure from a press roller unit 19 is dispersed and applied to the first support shaft 20 and the second support shaft 22. Forces applied to the frame 13 in upward and downward directions cancel each other. Therefore even though the first support shaft 20, the second support shaft 22, and the frame 13 are made of synthetic resin, the support shafts do not tilt and the frame 13 does not warp.

On the flat portion (21), a front portion of a guide member (20) is placed. At a rear edge of the flat portion (21) in the feeding direction, at plural positions corresponding to various kinds of the roll sheets (3A) having different widths, there are formed four second positioning grooves (22A-22D) in which part of the guide member (20) is fitted.

摘要： A tape printer (1) includes a roll sheet holder storage part (4) of which a bottom is formed with a positioning recess (4A) which is rectangular in plan view and long sideways and has a predetermined depth. A discrimination recess (4B) rectangular in plan view is provided between the positioning recess (4A) and an inner base end of a holder support member (15). The discrimination recess (4B) fittingly receives a sheet discrimination part (60) extending in a predetermined length from a lower end of the positioning holding member (12) inward at substantially right angle thereto. The sheet discrimination part (60) is formed with sensor holes (60A-60E) arranged in an L-shaped pattern. In the discrimination recess (4B), there are provided sheet discrimination sensors (S1-S5) arranged in an L-shaped pattern.
