Said first and second bearing supports (31, 32; 131, 132; 231, 232) are spaced apart from one another. A first print transport path (P1; P1'; P1'') extends from the first bearing support (31; 131; 132) from the first media roll (R1) to a main transport path (MP; MP'; MP'') of the printing system. A second print transport path (P2; P2'; P2'') extends from the second bearing support (32; 132; 232) to the main transport path (MP; MP'; MP'') of the printing system. An attachment transport (AP; AP'; AP'') path extends between the first and the second bearing support (31, 32; 131, 132; 231, 232). The attachment transport path (AP; AP'; AP'') allows both print media to be brought together and attached to one another. Thereby, a relatively stiffer medium may be attached as a leader section to a relatively weaker medium.

    摘要： There is provided a printing apparatus including: a frame; a platen; a moving mechanism having a first roller, a second roller, and a supporting member which rotatably supports the first and second rollers; a motor; a transmitting mechanism connected to the motor and the moving mechanism; a clutch provided on the transmitting mechanism; a sensor detecting a position of the moving mechanism; and a controller. The controller executes: starting driving of the motor so that the motor is rotated toward the other direction in a state that conveyance of the print medium by an external apparatus is stopped and that the clutch is in a connected state; performing determination as to whether the moving mechanism is located at an end, on a second side in the specified direction, of the moving range; and stopping the rotation of the motor.

The unwinding unit 40 includes a first rotary body 441 that is integrally rotatable with the roll body by engaging with a first end of the roll body, a second rotary body 451 that is integrally rotatable with the roll body by engaging with a second end of the roll body, a first motor 442 that rotatably drives the first rotary body 441, and a second motor 452 that rotatably drives the second rotary body 451.
