摘要： A method and apparatus for lock stitches with a sewing machine (10) is disclosed in which surplus needle thread (18) is automatically rewound onto the spool (16) by means which intermittently drive the spool in the reverse direction in synchronisation with the needle and bobbin, thereby to take up the surplus thread after formation of the stitch and to draw the lock stitch tight.
