摘要: An image communication system equipped with an ink jet printer having multiple ink orifices permits excellent images without ink stains, wherein a heat fusing means is actuated in accordance with reception of a call signal, image data is received after the temperature of the heat fusing means has reached to a predetermined temperature. On the other hand, if the predetermined temperature is not attained within a predetermined time, a circuit is released and then an error alarm is output.

摘要: A recording apparatus includes a recording unit for ejecting an ink to a recording member, a detection unit (5) for detecting a remaining amount of ink, a memory (7) for storing receiving data, and a control unit for controlling an operation of the recording unit to record an image in accordance with the receiving data, and controlling the memory to store image data in the memory. The control unit controls the memory (7) in accordance with an output from the detection unit (5) upon completion of recording of a predetermined volume of data, clears data stored in the memory when the output from the detection unit (5) indicates a present of ink, and preserves data stored in the memory when the output from the detection unit (5) indicates an absence of ink.

摘要: There is disclosed a facsimile apparatus equipped with an ink jet printer in which the recording head is inspected for ink discharge failure (A) in response to a call signal, then a head recovery process (B) is effected in case of discharge failure, and the normal data reception process is started after the discharge failure is rectified (C). If the discharge failure is not rectified after repeated recovery processes, the communication is interrupted, so that the wasted communication resulting from mulfunction of the recording head can be avoided.
