    摘要： A printer apparatus comprises: a holding circuit to hold a pattern of a character, a figure, or the like in a form such that it can be enlarged or reduced into an arbitrary size; a converter to convert the pattern of the character, figure, or the like which was held in the holding circuit into a printable dot image of an arbitrary size; and a forming circuit to form a reduced dot image of the character, figure, or the like by the converter in accordance with reduction ratios of a character pitch and a line pitch upon reduction printing in the printer emulation mode. With this apparatus, the reduced print image which accurately conforms with the reduction ratios can be obtained.

    摘要： The present invention provides a printing apparatus and a printing method in a printing apparatus, having a printing unit to print output data which are generated by analyzing printing information received from a plurality of host units. The printing apparatus according to the present invention comprises judgment means for judging whether said received printing information is necessary for collation and verification or not, output means for, in case of judging that it is printing information not necessary for collation and verification by said judgment means, developing said printing information into output data and outputting output data to said printing unit, development storage means for, in case of judging that it is printing information necessary for collation and verification by said judgment means, developing said printing information into output data and storing the output data in storage means, collation information input means for inputting collation information for providing the printing allowance of output data stored in said storage means, abandon means for abandoning output data stored in said storage means in the developed state after the predetermined time passes and holding printing information of said output data, and in case of inputting collation information by said collation information input means after the predetermined time passes, output control means for generating output data on the basis of printing information corresponding to said collation information again and controlling to output said output data to said printing part.
