    摘要: An internal combustion engine (10) includes a cylinder block (12) with a cylinder bore (20). A cylinder liner (14) within the cylinder bore (20) has a distal end (44) with an outside diameter (56). A cooling ring (16) has a first inside diameter (58), a larger second inside diameter (60) and a plurality of radial coolant passages (74). The first inside diameter (58) is positioned closely adjacent to the outside diameter (56) at the distal end (44) of the cylinder liner (14). The second inside diameter (60) is radially spaced apart from and defines an annular coolant channel (72) with the outside diameter (56) of the cylinder liner. The radial coolant passages (74) are in fluid communication with the annular coolant channel (72).
