    摘要: A system for splicing optical fiber sections is constructed as a handheld splicing device (1000). The splicing device comprises a preprocessing unit (100) which can comprise multiple processing devices (110, 120, 130) for performing placing, cleaning, and separation steps. The optical fiber sections are clamped in a holding device (200) and prepared in the preprocessing unit. The holding devices are inserted into a splicing unit (300) with the prepared optical fiber sections, which are spliced therein. By means of a transfer station (400), the spliced optical fiber sections are fed to a shrink oven (500) for shrinking on a heat shrink sleeve. The operation of the preprocessing unit, both the splicing unit and the shrink oven, can be carried out with one hand by an operator, while the splicing unit is held with the other hand.
