    摘要: The invention concerns monoclonal antibodies and antibody derivatives directed against HIV core protein p24 which recognize p24 expressed on the surface of HIV-infected macrophages and/or kill HIV-infected cells. The monoclonal antibodies of the invention may be murine antibodies or chimeric antibodies consisting of human constant regions and murine variable or hypervariable regions. Methods of manufacture of such antibodies, hybridoma or transfectoma cell lines secreting them and methods for production of the hybridoma or transfectoma cell lines are also encompassed by this invention. The invention further concerns recombinant DNA comprising an insert coding for the variable regions of antibodies against HIV core protein p24 having the mentioned properties, methods of manufacture of such recombinant DNAs, and host cells transformed with such recombinant DNAs.
    The antibodies are especially useful for the prevention of the progression of AIDS and for the treatment of AMS, but can also be used for the diagnosis of HIV infection in an immunoassay.
