摘要： A backup power device (3) which can be installed inside an industrial-standard microcomputer (1) in unused space designed for a disc or hard disc drive, by taking advantage of the attachment possibilities (4) meant for the disc or hard disc drive. The alarm lights and operating switches (9) of the backup power device are visible to the user on the front panel of the computer (1). The backup power device (3) is connected inside the computer parallel to the computer's power source. When the computer's power source stops working due to a power failure, the backup power device (3) immediately begins to supply electricity to the computer from a battery or corresponding energy store.
