    摘要： A coin queuing and sorting arrangement comprises a coin queuing device (10) and a coin sorting device (22). The queuing device receives coins of the same or mixed denominations and delivers the coins to an outlet of the queuing device in single file, in a single layer, and with a radially inner edge of each coin positioned at a common reference location. The queuing device includes a rotatable disc (14) having a resilient top surface (18) and a stationary queuing head (12) having a lower surface positioned parallel to the top surface of the disc and spaced slightly therefrom. The lower surface of the queuing head forms a queuing region for aligning the radially outer edges of coins of all denomiations at a common radius, and an exit channel (36) for receiving the queued coins. The exit channel includes a radially inner wall (42) spiralling outwardly relative to the center of rotation of the disc to engage the radially inner edges of the queued coins. The inner wall extends to the outer periphery of the disc for discharging from the disc the queued coins which are advanced along the inner wall. The upper surface of at least an exit end of the exit channel is positioned sufficiently close to the resilient top surface of the disc to press the queued coins down into the resilient top surface as the coins are being discharged from the disc. The coin sorting device (22), disposed adjacent the queuing device, receives and sorts coins discharged from the disc.

    摘要： A currency processing machine for receiving and dispensing cash and substantially immediately furnishing an associated cash accounting system with data, including the value of the currency processed, for each transaction. The machine includes a bill dispenser (13) having a bill storage device and controllable transport device for dispensing selected numbers of bills from the storage device, a bill receptacle for receiving stacks of bills to be depositided, and a bill counter and scanner (8) for rapidly removing the bills one at a time from the receptacle and counting the bills while determining the denomination of each bill. A control system transfers data from a memory to an associated cash processing system so that the deposits and withdrawals executed at the currency processing machine are entered in the accounting system substantially immediately after the execution of those transactions.

    摘要： A multi-pocket currency evaluation device (10) for receiving a stack of currency bills and rapidly evaluating all the bills in the stack. The device has an input receptacle (12) for receiving a stack of bills to be evaluated and a plurality of output receptacles (217a, 217b) for receiving the bills after the bills have been evaluated. A transport mechanism transports the bills, one at a time, from the input receptacle to one of the plurality of output receptacles along a transport path (240). A discriminating unit (402) evaluates the bills and determines certain information concerning the bills. A control panel includes a touch screen for displaying the information concerning the bills and for receiving operational instructions from a user. A controller coupled to the touch screen and the discriminating unit causes the discriminating unit to operate in any of several operating modes in response to operational instructions from the user. The pocket(s) to which the bills are delivered, as well as starting and stopping conditions of the device, are determined according to the operating mode selected by the user.

    摘要： A document processing device having an evaluation region disposed along a transport path between an input and output receptacle capable of processing both currency bills and identification cards. An evaluation unit enables entry of source identification information before or after processing currency bills. Memory is adapted to store source identification information for multiple batches of currency. Multiple batches are placed in the processing device for multiple batch processing. The evaluation region includes detectors for detecting predetermined characteristics of currency bills and distinguishing identification cards from currency. During processing, the identification card, or other separator card, is sent to a predetermined output receptacle designated as a reject receptacle. Currency that is rejected is sent to the reject receptacle. Rejected currency is separated into batches by the identification cards sent to the reject receptacle during processing.
