摘要： This invention has as its object to set a one-to-one relationship upon setting a communication parameter for wireless communication between a wireless communication device on the information transmitting side and a wireless communication device that receives and processes the information and to terminate the processing as an error in an environment including a plurality of wireless communication devices. To this end, when the user inputs a wireless communication channel establishment instruction to both a digital camera and printer having wireless communication functions, these devices execute communication parameter setting processes within an allowable time period. When one of the devices detects a plurality of other devices within that time period, the communication parameter setting process is terminated as an error.

摘要： This invention has as its object to set a communication parameter allowing wireless communication between a wireless communication device on the information transmitting side and a wireless communication device that receives and processes the information. To this end, when the user inputs an instruction to both a digital camera and printer having wireless communication functions, these devices execute parameter communication processes within an allowable time period. When the devices can detect each other within that time period, a communication parameter to be used in a second communication mode is communicated in a fast communication mode. After that, the devices start communication in the second communication mode (e.g. infrastructure) using the parameter that was previously communicated in the first communication mode (e.g. ad-hoc) which is then disconnected.
