A preparation method of the catalyst component, a catalyst comprising the catalyst component, and an olefin polymerization method using the catalyst which can especially be used for preparation of polypropylenes of low ash contents are also disclosed.

The present invention is to provide a composite carrier, which is spheric particles obtainable by contacting magnesium halide with one or more electron donor compounds to form a solution, then mixing the solution with silica material having an average particle size of less than 10 microns to form a mixture, and drying the mixture through spray drying process. The present invention is also to provide a catalyst component comprising said composite carrier. When the catalyst component is used together with a cocatalyst component in propylene polymerization, it exhibits higher polymerization activity and stereospecificity, and can be used to prepare high impact resistent ethylene-propylene copolymer having high ethylene content.

The present invention provides a magnesium-based solid and a solid catalyst component for olefin polymerization. By means of determination based on a nitrogen adsorption method, the solid has a multimodal pore distribution and a specific surface area of not less than 50 m 2 /g, and the pore size distribution of the solid is in a range of 1 nm to 300 nm. There is at least one peak within a pore size range of less than 10 nm, and there is at least another peak within a pore size range of not less than 10 nm. When the catalyst formed using the solid catalyst component is used for propylene polymerization, the catalyst has higher polymerization activity and higher stereotactic orientation capability, and the prepared polymer has a relatively wide molecular weight distribution.

The present invention provides a spheric catalyst component as well as a catalyst for olefin polymerization. The spheric catalyst component comprises at least one titanium compound and optionally at least one electron donor compound supported on an active magnesium halide spheric carrier, wherein the active magnesium halide spheric carrier is solid particles obtained by dispersing a melt of a magnesium halide/alcohol adduct by rotation under high-gravity field. The catalyst has good particle morphology and narrow particle size distribution, and when used in olefin polymerization, especially in propylene polymerization, exhibits relatively high activity and stereoelectivity, and gives polymers having good particle morphology and high bulk density.

The catalyst component contains magnesium, titanium, halogen, and an internal electron donor, and the internal electron donor comprises a compound A, a compound B and a compound C, wherein the compound A is selected from a hydroxybenzoyl compound represented by formula (I), the compound B is selected from one or more of an ester compound other than the compound A and an ether compound, and the compound C is selected from an alkoxysilane represented by formula RnSi(OR6)4-n, and wherein, a content of the compound A may be zero. When the catalyst system comprising the catalyst component and a co-catalyst component or a reaction product of the two, or a prepolymerization catalyst composition prepared by further prepolymerization is used for olefin copolymerization, an excellent olefin copolymerization ability is exhibited, and a good polymerization activity, stereospecificity and hydrogen adjustment sensitivity are maintained; in addition, polymer particles that are obtained have a good morphology and a high sphericity, and contain less fine powder.

Disclosed is a catalyst pre-contact method for the continuous polymerization of an olefin, wherein a primary catalyst, a co-catalyst and, optionally, an external electron donor are mixed and then undergo a pre-contact reaction, with the pre-contact reaction temperature being -30°C to 35°C and adjustable, and the pre-contact reaction time being 0.5 min to 10 min and adjustable, and the pre-contacted catalyst is brought into a catalyst prepolymerization system and then into a catalyst polymerization system, or is directly brought into the catalyst polymerization system. Further disclosed is a catalyst pre-contact device for the continuous polymerization of an olefin, which can adjust the pre-contact time and pre-contact temperature of the catalyst so that the performance of the catalyst achieves a better level according to the process.
