摘要： The magnetic recording unit is enclosed with a case body (15, 16). A cartridge insertion slot (18) for inserting a cartridge housing a disk, which is a recording medium, is formed at the rear end of the case body (15, 16), and a frame plate (19) is disposed inside the case body. A first concave section and a second concave section are formed on this frame plate (19) by drawing processing, a disk drive motor (5) is mounted using the first concave section, and a head drive motor (16) for driving the record/playback head body (17) for the disk is mounted using the second concave section.

摘要： A magnetic recording device comprises a case (15, 16) that houses a disk drive motor (5) for rotating a recording medium (disk), a head (57) for reading information from and writing information onto the disk, and a head drive mechanism for driving the head. The case (15, 16) includes a cover (17) that may close a cartridge slot (18). When the cover (17) is leaned forward to open the cartridge slot (18), its upper surface becomes substantially at the same level as a frame plate on which the disk drive motor (5) and the head drive are mounted.

摘要： A disk drive motor (5) for driving and rotating a recording medium (disk), a head (57) for recording or playing back information to/from this disk, and a head drive mechanism for driving the head, are disposed inside a case body (15, 16) of the magnetic recording unit. A lid body (17) to close the cartridge insertion slot (18) is disposed the case body (15, 16) at a position facing the cartridge insertion slot (18). When the lid body (17) falls down the front side and the cartridge insertion slot (18) is opened, the top face of the lid body (17) becomes substantially on the same plane as the top face of the frame plate where the disk drive motor (5) and the head (17) drive mechanism are mounted.
